The Borough of Cliffside Park is a small suburban community located in the northeastern part of New Jersey, in Bergen County, covering an area of 0.96 square miles and having a population of approximately 27,00 residents.
Being that Cliffside Park is conveniently nestles between the George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln Tunnel, it is home to many New Yorkers. Cliffside Park was founded in 1895 and at that time consisted mainly of woodlands and farms. It has over the years been given a motto, ‘ Atop the Palisades.’ This refers to its perfect location. The Residents of Cliffside do most of their shopping on its main street, Anderson Ave. This street is known for its wonderful shops, cafes, and a diverse selection of restaurants.
The School districts consists of four elementary schools, a middle school, an Early Education Learning Center, and one high school. They have high standards for their students and most excel. The Cliffside Park School District provides a safe, academically focused environment within the culturally diverse community where all students have the opportunity to achieve the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards at all grade levels. Population:  23,594 (2010 US Census)

The Cliffside Park Housing Authority operates a senior transport bus that takes the senior citizens of Cliffside Park to places like Shoprite in Palisades Park to pick up groceries and City Place in Edgewater to do some personal shopping. Need a bus pass? They are available at the bus office and the 550 building. Stop in Mon – Fri between the hours of 9AM- NOON and 1PM – 4PM. All you need is identification, proof of address and proof of age. The only requirement is that you are a citizen of Cliffside Park or an active member of the Cliffside Park Senior Activity Center.
